Mission Statement on Learning Disabilities In Children

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in the Orient of Mississippi has and will continue to be a Strong Advocate of intervention on behalf of all children who are at a disadvantage due to a Learning Process Difference Known as Dyslexia.
Our Objective is to be involved with all school Districts within the State of Mississippi to ensure that recognition of these children with this difficulty be provided remedial training.
Since this disorder cannot be reversed, only compensation or a different method of processing will enable them to learn. In other words, they should be taught using a method by which they can learn.
They should be tested using a method that will reveal their actual knowledge and accomplishment. Any other method of testing will not provide an accurate result.
